Trusting through the darkness

The scenery coming down from Schweitzer mountain this morning was spectacular. And even the 15 mph hairpin turns were not frightening as they were in the dark last night as we tried to find our way to our lodging at the Selkirk Lodge, up by the ski slopes. Got me thinking about the analogy to our lives. We move in the darkness, anxious and trembling, unsure of our destination. And all around us is this magnificent beauty that we can’t see because it is dark. Very dark. Oh, God, when the Son comes again and sheds His lovely light on the dark roads of our lives, what beauty will we see then? Thank You for this picture. Help me to trust You in the darkness, for You are the Creator of all this beauty!
