From Northfield
I am at St.Olaf College visiting Susan. I leave for Florida tomorrow. I have been blessed to be here during the most beautiful time of the spring. Everything was in bud on Friday and now all the trees have burst open with small, intensely spring green leaves. It is gorgeous. And the newly plowed farm fields all around the college are black as Minnesota dirt can be!
We have had a full if mildly exhausting time. No wonder she's a wreck (she isn't actually, by the way, but looks pretty good, and is marvelously useful here) with all she packs into the days. She promises that this has been a busier time than usual. M'hmmm. She's in composition class right now. Our schedule ends with a recital beginning at 9:30 tonight.
Thoughts and photos to come in a few days perhaps.
